Building Snoopys Dog House for Christmas

This doghouse needed to be small enough to fit on the top of the credenza – and not cost a lot of money. Snoopy first sleeps on top of his doghouse in the strip from December 12, 1958. First appearance of Snoopy's doghouse in the strip from September 4, 1951. Tha Doggfather and No Limit boss shared a video on YouTube last month announcing the rebranding of their breakfast product, which will now be called Snoop Cereal. They also unveiled three new flavors — Frosted Drizzlers, Fruity Hoopz with marshmallows and Cinnamon Toasteez — which Snoop and Master P taste-tested in the clip. There are also two larger, more true-to-life figurines from Funko’s GOLD series capturing Snoop throwing up the Westside in his aforementioned ’90s outfit.

We’ve had a few gawkers stop as they drive by and we even had someone trudge through the snow to get a pic with Snoopy. At first I did try to use the hot glue but it was a mess and the two edges of the cardboard were to thin to actually glue together. Set where you live, what language you speak, and the currency you use.

The Death Row Records boss also has his own children’s series called Doggyland, a cooking show with Martha Stewart and a line of hot dogs, among other projects. Back in 1994, Snoop purchased this home in the foothills of Claremont, CA for $660,000. This home is often referred to as “Snoop Dogg first house”. What most don’t know, is that at the time of purchase, the home was only 3,700 square feet with just 5 bedrooms. Over the years, Snoop expanded it to 6,527 square feet with 8 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Where Does Snoop Dogg Live?

Over the years, Snoop Dogg’s business endeavors have seriously paid off when it comes to the rapper’s career earnings. From hosting spots on television to music and more, it seems anything Snoop attaches his name to just adds another zero to his bank account. Despite the amount of space his home offers, Snoop snapped up a second property on the same street which he turned into a state-of-the-art recording studio. The rapper hired professional contractors to perform some upgrades to the property, but he was left so unhappy with the work that he sued them for $500,000, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. Snoopy's doghouse defies physics and is shown to be bigger on the inside than the outside.

In the March 21, 1974, strip, Marcie tells Peppermint Patty that Snoopy is a beagle, finally resulting in her realizing his true identity. Snoopy serves as Peppermint Patty's watchdog several times. She is one of the few girls who does not get disgusted after being kissed by him.

He shows how much he cares for her when he cries at Schroeder's house after she is captured by the Red Baron. Snoopy, Woodstock, and the Beagle Scouts set out on a mission to save her. Eventually, they save her, and she shows her affection to Snoopy.

Fast forward to 2022, Snoop Dogg turned heads by winning a Primetime Emmy Award for performing in Super Bowl LVI's halftime show. Furthermore, the same Diamond Bar property has appreciated in value, now worth $1.7 million. Not many famous friendships have garnered quite as much attention as that of rapper Snoop Dogg and lifestyle queen, Martha Stewart. As of 2023, it’s estimated that Snoop has amassed an impressive net worth of $165 million, making him one of the richest rappers in the world.

In later years, Sally occasionally enlists Snoopy's help in school assignments. She even treats him to an ice cream cone (a very tall ice cream cone, with scoops of about a dozen flavors) when Snoopy helps her get an "A" on a report about "Our Animal Friends". Snoopy appeared on October 4, 1950, two days after the first Peanuts strip. He was one of the four original characters, along with Charlie Brown, Patty, and Shermy. He was called Snoopy for the first time in the November 10 strip.

Apart from this $1.7 million Diamond Bar home, Snoop Dogg also owns another property within the community. The second Diamond Bar home is reportedly being used as the Primetime Emmy Award winning rapper's recording studio and his preferred location for shooting music videos. Apart from recording studios, this Diamond Bar home also contains a basketball court. Like Lucy, Sally does not care that much for Snoopy and often calls him a stupid beagle. Sally usually complains when her big brother asks her to feed Snoopy whenever he is away from home. While she is still an infant, Sally has a friendly and playful relationship with Snoopy.

It was where he pecked out “It Was A Dark and Stormy Night” on his typewriter, a recurring storyline about Snoopy’s attempts to write the great American novel. It was where he was Joe Cool lounging outside the student union. It was where he was a World War I Flying Ace, dogfighting with the Red Baron for control of the skies. It was, as homes are to many people, a safe haven for his private eccentricities. A couple of years later, Snoopy began walking on his hind legs. At first it was a joke, meant to juxtapose his appearance with his behaviour, but it became more normal as Peanuts treated Snoopy less like a dog and more like a human.

However, the packaging tape was better to not only hold the shape of the doghouse box but would allow the box to fold flat when not on display. Packaging tape is flexible enough to allow me to collapse the box at the end of the season. I was going to use hot glue to put the sides of the box back together to form the square base of the doghouse. The door to the doghouse was drawn using a small bowl for the rounded top and the ruler for the straight lines. This was colored in with the black Sharpie but black acrylic paint would have worked as well. The cardboard took 3 coats of spray paint to fully cover it to make the doghouse.

To get the kids excited for the new movie I designed this printable Snoopy Dog house that we could make together and the kids could play with. When the new doghouse that Charlie Brown presents to Snoopy looks exactly the same as the old one, Snoopy’s feelings are complex. Snoopy doesn’t want a new home; he wants his home, but barring that, this is the next best thing. The new doghouse is a restoration of Snoopy’s dignity, a new place to call his own. The strip mirrors the earlier one where Snoopy surveyed the damage wrought by the fire. Snoopy cries in this strip as well, only now it’s out of joy.

Either the entrance leads to an expansive basement with a few other rooms and ample storage space or the inside is a fourth-dimensional tesseract space. Either way the inside is much larger than the outside and contains many objects. Snoop Dogg’s branding game outside of his music career has always been on another level.

They range in skill level, so you can find the one that best suits your ability. If you don’t have a lot of building materials or tools, this is a great project for you. This DIY Snoopy Doghouse is made from moving boxes (either new or used) and only requires packing tape, a black marker, Exacto knife, and some red spray paint. This project can be done in an afternoon because it does not require a laundry list of materials or a lot of craftsmanship.
